Wood Says Stones Considering Olympics

Conflicting stories coming out of the Rolling Stones camp has been the norm for quite some time. Guitarist Ron Wood became the latest member of the group to stir up speculation about the group's future plans when he said the Stones have been asked to play the opening ceremony and his former band, the Faces, have been invited to participate in a closing ceremony, quipping that the distinction would make him '...the first bi-athelete musician'. Absent from Wood's comment was any echo of earlier comments from Mick Jagger that Stones participation in the Olympics has been ruled out by the group.  From Woody's perspective, the idea of playing the event '...would be too good an opportunity to miss.'
