Hendrix Disc Proves Worthy

Hard-core fans happily add any and every release by a favorite artist to their collection.  Fans seeking to limit purchases to the few gems among the landfills worth of unworthy material from artists no longer around to protect their legacy get burned when low or no standards are applied to what gets released.  Plenty of  recordings Jimi Hendrix would probably rather had never seen the light of day got churned out before Janie Hendrix, the guitarist's step-sister, stepped in decisively to insist future releases of archived material measure up to higher standards.  Valleys of Neptune, is a good example of why.  Other versions of all but one song on it have come out before, but few equal the quality of the takes on this disc.  More info.
