Furthur Plans Memorable Memorial Weekend

Grateful Dead fans attending the Furthur Festival at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds in Angels Camp, CA May 28-30 are in for a memorable Memorial Day weekend.  GD veterans Phil Lesh, Bob Weir and the rest of Furthur plan to perform six Grateful Dead albums in their entirety during the course of the group's concert sets.  Furthur headlines Saturday and Sunday, and will do three sets each night.  Saturday album sets will feature American Beauty, Workingman's Dead and Anthem Of The Sun.  Sunday they will deal out Aoxomoxoa, Terrapin Station and Blues For Allah. The group will also do an open soundcheck on Friday night.  Other performers at the festival include Hot Tuna and a couple of groups involving members of groups Weir and Lesh had together before reuniting  in Furthur. Ratdog veteran Mark Karan will perform with Jemimah Puddleduck, and Larry Campbell, Jackie Greene and Teresa Williams from Phil Lesh & Friends will each perform with their own bands.
